Overview and Highlights

Phulchowki Hiking is a hiking trail from the Kathmandu valley to Phulchowki. Phulchowki is one of the surrounding peaks of the Kathmandu valley. The height of the peak is 2,823 meters. The prefix of the name “Phul” means flower literally. As the name suggests, the hill is rich in floras. The site is a garden of flowers including roses, jasmine, iris and several other species of flowers. The summit is rich in forests of Rhododendron. Besides, there is also a Buddhist shrine on the top of the peak. A hiker with perfect health conditions has the chances of summiting the peak in less than 3 hours of walk. The surrounding of Phulchowki has all the ingredients of a perfect resort area. Offering an unforgettable experience in the hills of Phulchowki, the hiking trail ends at the spot.

Beside other natural geographical formations, the summit of Phulchowki also provides exquisite views of Nepalese mountains that lie in the northern part of the country. With right altitude and weather conditions, breath-taking views of these mountain peaks can be enjoyed during the hike. Also the Kathmandu valley seems heavenly from this point of the hike.

Drive from hotel to Godabari [2,051m/6,732ft] that lies to the southeast of Kathmandu. Hike to Phulchowki [2791m/9,156ft]. We can enjoy bird watching in the dense forests of Phulchowki and descend down to Godabari and then finally drive to Kathmandu. Stay overnight in hotel
