The Jomsom Muktinath Trek divides trekking as 2 nights of stay in Kathmandu, 8 days of trekking after that and 2 nights in Pokhara in the third phase with total days of 12. This trekking route literally allows trekkers for Kathmandu sightseeing, Pokhara City Tour, views of mountains form the Poon Hill, Sunrise and Sunset views, Jomsom and Mustang View, exploring the Muktinath Temple and getting into the lives of Ghale and knowing about their culture.
Jomsom Muktinath Trekking starts right from Pokhara and ends in Kali Gandaki Valley making Muktinath the last destination of the trek. This pilgrimage site is considered to be sacred, where people from far away come to worship. Through the trek, you are provided with opportunities to explore the natural and cultural heritages of Jomsom in details. From Kathmandu, Jomsom Muktinath trek covers 374 km distance. This trek is categorized in moderate grade, which means neither too difficult nor too easy to go through. Trekkers gain a maximum altitude of 3800m from 1065m within the trekking period. The best season to trek in this area is from September to November and February to May.
Welcome! Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representatives. After completion of official formalities, we pick our luggage and head towards a 4 star category hotel where you will be transferred to stay overnight.
Good Morning! Today is the Second Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trek. We leave the hotel and get transferred to the airport. Making a short flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, we start the initial phase of our trekking part. We trek from Pokhara to Tikhedhunga that roughly takes 4 – 5 hours. We stay at a teahouse at Tikhedhunga. And get ready for tomorrow.
Today is the Third Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trekking. Early in the morning after having breakfast we continue our trek. The path from Tikhedhunga falls down and crosses the Burungdi Khola. Then the route climbs high up to a village named Ulleri. With continuous walk, we arrive at Ghorepani which is a beautiful place with numerous small shops that can provide you basic items. This site is comparatively higher than the previous one, so, we experience chilly winds in late evening. Camp or teahouse overnight at Ghorepani. Get ready for tomorrows adventure.
Today is the Fourth day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trek. On the way to Tatopani, we make a steep descend to Sikha which a large village. Then we further descend to Ghar Khola Village. After crossing a suspension bridge there, we climb towards Tatopani. The name in Nepali means ‘Hot Water’. The place gets its name from the hot water springs that exists in this place. Teahouse overnight.
Today is the Fifth Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trek. Early in the morning after breakfast, we take the path that follows the Kali Gandaki River that flows under a deep George. Passing through Dana, Rupse and Kopchepani, we ascend to the Thakali village Ghasa. This place is considered to be a paradise for bird watchers. We spend the night here at the womb of Ghasa.
\Today is the Sixth Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trekking. We leave Ghasa and cross the Lete Khola that takes us to Lete. We then meet the eastern part of Kali Gandaki and reach Larjung village. Then we cross Tukuche where apple farm projects exists that produce apple and vegetables for the entire region. Then we finally arrive in Marpha. Camp or teahouse overnight at Marpha.
Today is the Seventh Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trek. Our walk continues along the valley side gradually gaining altitude before crossing a low ridge that takes us to Jomsom. The path from Jomsom becomes windy even during the day time. We cross the Ekley Bhatti village. We rest in this place for some time and after an hour of walk, we reach Kagbeni that lies on the banks of two rivers. We get ready to witness beautiful Muktinath temple in Muktinath.
Today is the Eighth Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Terkking. This day will take you to an outrageous place name Muktinath. It is one of the holiest site for both Hindu as well as Buddhist followers. It is believed that if you take a holy bath here, you will be free from all your sins and in addition, your wishes will be fulfilled.
Today is the Ninth Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trekking. The waterspouts, the Buddhists temple, and the Muktinath temple itself is a very ideal site to visit. The total distance between Jomsom and Muktinath is 995m. Also from here, you can enjoy superb views of the Dhaulagiri Peak. Today, we trek back to Jomsom that takes 5 – 6 hours by foot.
Today is the Tenth Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trek. From Jomsom, we take a short scenic flight to Pokhara. This city is a paradise for tourists with major places such as the Lake Site and Sarangkot. Hotel overnight
Today is the Eleventh Day of the Jomsom Muktinath Trek. We take another flight this day again from Pokhara to the capital city of the country; Kathmandu. You can also take a scenic drive rather, that takes 6 hours of time. Hotel overnight
