Tsum Valley Trek is a recently opened and permitted trekking site in Nepal. Nepal tourism board is trying its best to promote and develop this trekking route at the fastest rate possible. Newer trekking routes are always getting borne as trekker’s demands for dynamic trekking sites are increasing day by day. Nepal tourism board is trying to add more of the trekking sites throughout the country to provide more options to trekkers who come to Nepal.
Tsum Valley is a holy and pilgrimage one in the Trans-Himalaya Region of Gorkha. The natural beauties and pristine cultures of this place make it unique among the trekking regions. The name Tsum is derived from a Tibetan word Tsombo. Comparing to other trekking sites, this valley is rich in ancient art, primitive culture and religions. The community together form a unique form of living.
With support of Nepal tourism board and trekkers, Tsum valley trekking is getting developed and popular on an everyday basis. Although the trekking route is a new one, but the combination of cultural heritages and natural scenic views are primitive and old ones. Among the previous trekkers, most of them admired this site and left positive reviews about this place.
The Tsum Valley is inspired by Buddhist culture. Milarepa, who is known to be a Buddhist saint is said to settle in the caves of this particular valley. There are more hidden ancient treasures in the Tsum Valley, but due to lack of publicity and activeness here, they still remain a mystery.

The rocky trail before us comprises of several ups and downs. After 7 hours from the starting point we arrive in Machha Khola where we camp overnight
We make our move through the narrow trail and then cross the Tharo Khola. After a few more ups and downs, there is a hot water spring. We get to the other side of the ridge after this water spring and again we cross the Budhi Gandaki over a suspension bridge. To the west bank of this river there lays a ridge after which we walk along the banks of the river and reach the village of Jagat. Camp or teahouse overnight

We have already made an acclimatization the previous day. Hoping for an energetic trek, we leave for our destination and leave Mu Gompa. We are now very close to the Tibetan border. Before arriving in Burgi village, we go through Milarepa which is good viewpoint for gaining views of Poshyop Glacier, Kipu Himal and Churke Himal. Overnight at Burgi village
