The prime focus of this trek is the Damodar Kunda Lake and the rest of the views are secondary.
The Damodar Kunda Lake is situated in the lap of Damodar Himal. This lake flows towards the south crossing through a rain shadow valley in the eastern part of the Annapurna Himalaya Range. The history of this lake tells us that visiting this lake and taking deep bath here will make a person free from all his sins.
The Damodar Kunda Trek starts from Jomsom after 25 minutes of flight from Pokhara. You can also access this route by driving to Phedi from Pokhara and trek to Kagbeni through Ghorepani Poon Hill. Crossing through Kagbeni and trek for reaching Damodar Kunda Lake is one of the most amazing experiences in the entire tourism industry of the country. During the walk you get to see silvery crowned snow-peaked mountain peaks, rough rugged rocky cliffs, and barren hills and walk through gravelled path towards the destination.
