Everest View Trek

Everest View Trek Tour is 9 days in trekking + 3 days Kathmandu trekking package

Magnificent view of Himalayas, Sherpa villages and Monasteries, Sagarmatha National Park, Syangboche Airstrip

The Everest View Trek fascinates you with viewing high Himalayas, temples and monasteries, the Sagarmatha National Park, Syangboche runway and Sherpa settlements and knowing about their culture.

This trek is the shortest one among all the trekking routes in the Everest Region. We get a beautiful close-up view of the Everest Region here. Also it’s fun to get into the Sherpa Villages. The altitude at 4,100m, which is the highest access of this trek provides magnificent views that soothes your crave of watching high Himalayas.

The Everest View Trek supports walking through the Sagarmatha National Park which is situated in the Everest Region itself. The lush vegetation here makes you feel a part of the nature. Besides, endangered wild lives and birds are preserved here. So, you get a chance to view these lives which you get nowhere to see again.

This trek takes us to villages like Tyangboche [3,930m], where the highest Buddhist monastery [4,100m] in the world is situated. According to photographers, the route that follows The Everest View Trek provides enduring views of Himalayas and natural beauties. This route is blessed by the perfect angle to watch Mt. Everest and its neighbouring peaks along. At the final phase of the trek, we will be enjoying in delightful and scenic villages like Kunde [3,500m] and Khumjung. Therefore, not only during the trek but also at the end of the trek is full of enjoyment. You also get a chance to interact with the local Sherpa people there and fill up your curiosity to know about their culture.

This trek is comparatively easier and shorter than other trekking routes in Everest Region. Trekkers find this route almost perfect to view the Everest Range.

Day 02: Full day Kathmandu sightseeing and trek preparations
You will be woken up with a morning call along with bed tea and breakfast. Today, we will enjoy sightseeing around Kathmandu the entire day including visits to some of the major places of the city such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudha and so on. These sites have been listed as World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. We get back to our hotel in late evening and stay overnight

Day 03:  Kathmandu – Lukla; 35 minutes – Phakding [2,652m/8,700ft]; 3 – 4 hours
With an early breakfast, we leave the hotel and get transferred to the airport. After some of the official formalities, we take a short scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This place is the starting point of our trekking period. Upon arrival, we start our trekking as a warm from Lukla to Phakding. Teahouse overnight

Day 04:  Phakding – Namche Bazaar [3,440 m/11,280ft]; 5 – 6 hours
We need to reach Namche Bazaar today. This place is a paradise for tourists and is the gateway to Everest Himalayan Region of Khumbu. After several hours of walk from Phakding, we arrive in Namche Bazaar. Teahouse overnight

Day 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
We spend this valuable day with rest. Acclimatization is very important in certain intervals of days. This idea prevents us from getting victimized by Acute Altitude Sickness that can cause serious problems to our health.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar – Khumjung [3,810m/12,500ft]; 4 hours
After full rest in the previous day, most probably we have recovered our energy and stamina to resume our trekking to the Everest. From Namche Bazaar, we head towards our destination and pause at Khumjung where we stay overnight

Day 07: Khumjung – Tengboche [3,870m/12,694ft]; 4 – 5 hours
It feels great to be in the laps of the highest mountain peak in the world. Today’s trek initiates from a steep climb through the airstrip at Sengboche. Then we descend down through the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. Enjoying the surrounding views, we would not know when time passed by and that we have already reached Tengboche. Teahouse overnight

Day 08: Tengboche – Kyangjuma [3,570m/11,710ft]; 4 – 5 hours
We spend some more time in Tengboche and resume our trek. We make a steep descend down below through lush forests of rhododendron and then cross the Dudh Koshi from a bridge over the river. Trekking for about 5 hours, we reach Kyangjuma, where we camp overnight or stay in a teahouse

Day 09: Kyangjuma – Monjo [2,840m/9,315ft]; 4 – 5 hours
The sloppy trail beyond Kyangjuma hints us to look before we leap. Having enough time throughout the day, we make our move steadily remaining calm. The Dudh Koshi River remains beside us. Before reaching Monjo, we cross the river twice today, through separate bridges. Camp or teahouse overnight in Monjo

Day 10: Monjo – Lukla; 4 – 5 hours
This day is the climax of our Everest View Trek. We head towards the beautiful junction ‘Lukla’ from Monjo. On our way, we enjoy the scenic views around. Also, there are chances that we encounter with some of the prettiest wild lives as well birds of the region. Teahouse overnight

Day 11: Lukla – Kathmandu
We take a short flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we have got plenty of time to make some productive tasks. It would be a good idea to go for some shopping until late evening. Hotel overnight

Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu
You will be offered with a leisure day in the Kathmandu city this day. You can either go for a short sightseeing tour around the city or even do shopping as per your interest. We get back to our hotel in the late evening and enjoy a cultural show along with a farewell dinner in our hotel.

Also, many credit card companies (particularly gold cards) offer their members baggage loss, international medical assistance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance if they simply charge their airline tickets on their credit card or for a small additional fee.

About Altitude Sickness ?

Altitude sickness, also known as acute mountain sickness (AMS), altitude illness, hypobaropathy, or soroche, is a pathological effect of high altitude on humans, caused by acute exposure to low partial pressure of oxygen at high altitude. It commonly occurs above 2,400 metres (8,000 feet).[1][2] It presents as a collection of nonspecific symptoms, acquired at high altitude or in low air pressure, resembling a case of 'flu, carbon monoxide poisoning or a hangover.[3]. It is hard to determine who will be affected by altitude-sickness, as there are no specific factors that compare with this susceptibility to altitude sickness.
